Singer Featherweight Sewing Machines for Sale ~

My husband and I have been married almost 19 years, and he has always taken great joy in pleasing me by buying things he knows I would like and have interest in. He knows my passion is quilting, so he has taken it upon himself to often look for antique sewing machines, not only for me, but I think he enjoys cleaning them up and renewing them as well. After all, he is head mechanic at a local rental store and has fixed things his entire life.

I’m finding that we’re running out of room and beginning to get closed in with sewing machines. I have two or three in the garage, plus a couple of sewing machine cabinets. I have two cabinets and three or four machines in the house. I only need ONE to sew with. The others are taking up space and collecting dust, making me feel guilty for not using them. I have two Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machines that are currently for sale. One belonged to my mother-in-law, and the other my hubby brought home recently before asking me if he could purchase it. I’m putting them both up for sale.

The newer one is a 1953 Singer Featherweight 221. Serial # is AL 406433 and it is American made in Elizabethport, New Jersey. It’s a beautiful machine and in immaculate condition. Although I don’t have video of it, it does sew.
I’ve put together some photos:

The second Singer Featherweight is from 1938, Serial # AF755264. Also a beautiful machine. I have some photos for you. I also have a video, but cannot upload it to WordPress without upgrading my domain. The video does, indeed, show the beautiful 1938 Featherweight sewing.

Both Machines are selling for $350 each, plus $50 for shipping to anywhere in the continental US, Alaska or Hawaii would cost more. Currently there are eight people from Facebook who have made known to me their interest in purchasing at least the 1938 machine. I am asking each, in order, if they would like to purchase. Both machines are located in Jordan, New York (near Syracuse), and will be shipped with the utmost care ~ hubby is also a shipping manager at his place of employment. He is very conscientious, thorough, and careful. If you are still interested after seeing this post, please leave me a comment below.

Thanks for taking a look ~ Blessings. Tamara
